Hally’s Scoops and Brew: Family-Owned Ice Cream & Coffee Shop in Shediac, NB

Adorable little ice cream shop. Cheesecake was delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be back next time we are in the area.

Having just spent a day in Shediac near Moncton during our Canadian east coast trip, we were in some serious need of some icy treats.  A google search later, we decided on Halley’s Scoops and Brew and were extremely satisfied with our visit! Top 3 reasons: 1. Nice compact selection + Killer Soft Serve! – They had around 10-12 flavors of ice cream and some I’ve never seen or heard of before, all sourced from Central Smith Creamery.  I’m not one that likes to be blinded by 20-30 flavors so having a smaller and interesting set of flavors works for me.  Kids got Moonmist and Monster Cookie and both enjoyed them immensely.  My favorite was their soft serve which was very smooth and absolutely delicious.  Dairy Queen be gone!  You can also customize your soft serve with various toppings or go with one of their pre-customized concoctions, which is what I did.  I ordered a chocolate lovers dream called, OCD and consists of chocolate soft serve with chocolate fudge, chocolate crumble, brownies, and choclates sprinkled in and around the large cup.  It was heavenly.  They also sell pre-packaged cakes, ice cream cookies and other frozen treats. 2. Great Décor – Loved the look and feel of the ice cream shop.  Made me feel at home with an intimate coffee shop kind of vibe. 3. Lovely Staff – Very friendly, accommodating, and patient staff.  We had plenty of questions and couldn’t make up our mind but were only met with smiles, patience, and recommendations.  Thank you.  We learned that Halley’s Scoops and Brew is a small family business and just opened in June of 2023.  Being the new kid on the block typically means some initial bumps but we didn’t experience any of that in our visit so if anything, you have our support and thank you for topping off our day with ice cream to remember! I highly recommend Halley’s Scoops and Brew for some absolutely amazing ice cream (especially soft serve!) if you’re in Shediac or even surrounding cities, like Moncton.  Great service, nice décor and dynamite ice cream! Absolutely amazing little gem,with a Fantastic story behind the name. Amazing variety of decadent goodies. Friendly Staff, cozy atmosphere. It will not disappoint.fantastic service and reasonably priced. Stay Amazing Ladies.

11/10 this female-family-owned and run ice cream and coffee shop is the best in town. Period. From the service to the prices, we love it here. We have marked every family occasion by getting one of their amazing inventions. Gluten-free? They've got it. Dairy free? Multiple flavors and even soft serve. Toppings and sauces. That hardest thing about this place is what to choose :D

My wife and I popped in for something tasty while in town. We were looking forward to trying out the weekly special but found out on arrival it’s only served Monday - Friday (maybe this could be advertised on their social media?). We made a quick pivot for smoothie bowls and a latte and they were SOOO good! The ladies there were super lovely and it was well worth the stop regardless. I’m sure we’ll be back again.

So happy with our visit! The two women working were so kind and welcoming — they truly made us feel at home. My partner loved his pulled pork sandwich, and my grilled cheese was delicious (both times we came!). The vanilla iced coffee I had was the best one I’ve had while being here. We’re from Niagara Falls and left today, but we couldn’t leave without stopping by again. Can’t wait to come back next time we visit! Thank you!

The Parlee Parfaits are absolutely delicious! I tried the strawberry one this afternoon and it did not disappoint. It was made of layers of soft serve vanilla ice cream, strawberry sorbet, chunks of shortcake, strawberry sauce and a cute little chocolate starfish on top! My son had the s'mores hard ice cream, with caramel sauce and brownie topping - he finished every last bite and preferred this ice cream to the other shop we had visited the day before. My grandma had the classic vanilla dipped cone, and she really enjoyed hers as well. The mother and daughter owners were so kind and friendly - they took the time to tell us about the menu and to answer any questions. Thank you so much. We will be back!

Lovely little dessert shop, staffed with amazing ladies. My daughter and wife had cheesecake with toppings, while I had Central Smith ice cream in a waffle cone. The prices were reasonable, and the flavors were awesome!
